Berlin Adlershof | Full-time, 40 hours | Start: immediately
The role
Hands-on work in our prototyping lab and on the production floor. You solder, you build, you test, and you catch problems before they reach a customer. Soldering is the core skill of this job, not a side task.
You work directly with our engineering team in Israel, which is why the working language is English.
What you will do
Prototyping and lab
- Build prototypes and samples for new products.
- Hand-solder cell and electronics connections, THT and SMD.
- Assemble wire harnesses and interconnects.
- Run performance, stress, and environmental testing.
Production
- Assemble battery packs to the manufacturing instructions.
- Operate and look after the production equipment.
- Handle material supply and support the material flow.
- Follow our safety protocols.
Testing and quality
- Carry out quality inspections to specification.
- Document inspection results.
- Spot deviations and escalate them before they travel downstream.
- Support colleagues on soldering and visual inspection practice.
What you bring
Required
- A completed electronics apprenticeship: Elektroniker für Geräte und Systeme, Elektroniker für Betriebstechnik, Industrieelektriker, or a comparable qualification. Career changers with demonstrable hands-on electronics assembly and soldering experience are explicitly welcome.
- Confident hand soldering, THT and SMD. This is the core skill of the role.
- At least 2 years of practical experience in electronics manufacturing, assembly, or testing.
- Careful, methodical work and a steady hand.
- Working knowledge of safety and quality protocols.
- English as a working language. We work daily with our engineering team in Israel.
A plus, and it shapes our offer
- Certification to IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, or IPC/WHMA-A-620 (CIS).
- Experience with spot welding or resistance welding of cell interconnects.
- Experience with lithium battery systems or BMS.
- German language skills. Welcome, but not required.
What we offer
- IPC certification paid by the company. We train you on the standard the electronics manufacturing industry works to worldwide, and the certification is yours to keep.
- Ongoing technical training, and onboarding directly from our engineering team.
- A permanent position after the probation period.
- Compensation based on qualification, experience, and certification.
- Real skilled work on advanced lithium battery systems, from prototype through to series production. Not assembly-line repetition.
- A path towards testing, quality, and battery design.
- A small team, short decision paths, and direct contact with the engineers who design what you build.
- On site in the Adlershof Technology Park, easy to reach by S-Bahn and tram.
